The End Of The Samurai Period

The Flintlock Gun
The end of the Samurai period came around after the flintlock gun was invented.
The flintlock gun fires lead balls when gunpowder is rammed into the gun with the ball and some powder in the pan. When the trigger is pulled, a hammer is released it hits the pan. This creates a spark causing the powder to catch on fire. The burning powder in the pan lights the powder in the barrel which explodes sending the lead ball flying. This could fire about 100 metres. The flintlock gun beat the samurai because the samurai fought from close range, where as theflintlock gun could end them before they were even close.
